This 1987 Aston Martin V8 Volante was initially delivered to Newport Imports in Newport Beach, California, and it remained registered in the state until it was acquired in 2016 by the seller, who has since added approximately 1k of the 27k shown miles.

Work performed under current ownership involved replacing the right cylinder head and intake manifold for the 5.3-liter V8 as well as installing a five-speed manual gearbox. The car is outfitted with Weber-Marelli electronic fuel injection, and additional work following the seller’s acquisition involved replacing the clutch assembly, exhaust, shocks, and tires as well as re-coring the radiator and fitting a USB- and Bluetooth-capable Blaupunkt SQR46 cassette player.

Finished in Dover White over tan leather, the car is further equipped with 15? BBS Mahle wheels, a Nardi steering wheel, interior woodgrain trim, and a tan soft top with a coordinated top boot. This Volante is now offered for sale with the owner’s manual, service records, the removed factory transmission, a tonneau cover.

The bodywork features hand-crafted aluminum alloy panels and is finished in Dover White. A tan soft top and coordinated top boot are fitted, and additional details include grille-mounted driving lights, twin round headlights, bright trim and wraparound bumpers, a mesh grille, a raised hood, and a power antenna.

BBS Mahle 15? cast aluminum wheels are mounted with 235/70 Avon Turbosteel tires that were fitted in 2022. The car was equipped from the factory with an independent front and de Dion rear suspension. The steering rack was rebuilt and Koni shocks were installed under current ownership, along with ventilated disc brakes and six-piston calipers sourced from The Aston Martin Specialists in the United Kingdom.

The front bucket and individual-back rear seats are upholstered in tan leather that extends to the center console and door panels. Amenities include wood interior trim, power windows, and a programmable Blaupunkt SQR46 cassette player with USB and Bluetooth capability that was installed in 2021.

The three-spoke Nardi steering wheel sits ahead of a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 27k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.3-liter V8 is fitted with Weber-Marelli electronic fuel injection. The radiator was re-cored and the thermostat, starter, and engine mounts were replaced in 2022. Work completed in February 2025 involved replacing the right cylinder head, intake manifold, cylinder head gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, spark plugs, and more as detailed on an invoice in the gallery below.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission that was installed in 2021 by Steel Wings in Ivyland, Pennsylvania. The exhaust system was also replaced at that time, while a replacement clutch and flywheel assembly was fitted in September 2022. The removed transmission included in the sale can be viewed at the end of the gallery.
